"The GLAU has contacted the Republic of the Caribbean and asked them about Tanner Preston. They say it is just a big mix up and that Preston has been conducting trade meetings with the republic since he had arrived there. The GLAU requested that they give proof that Preston is unharmed and that he be returned to NUCA territory with all speed."

"It is odd, we're not sure if it's truly miscommunication or Preston actually being held prisoner. A mandate should be given to the Republic of the Caribbean, Return Tanner Preston in two days or be prepared for war. This should show if he is truly being held hostage."

If the situation is really normal, as the Caribbean government claims, there would be no problem with the Confederacy communicating with its own ambassador. It is possible that both our governments are being fooled into war by a third party, but Caribbean's lack of effort to remedy the situation is highly suspicious.

"The GLAU has felt it necessary that I be stationed here to represent my nation due to the circumstances. We have also committed resources to searching for the impostor within our own borders as well and put up a bounty within my territories regarding information on the impostor's whereabouts or affiliations."

Vince returns the shake and replies, "That wont be a problem. We have plenty of embassy buildings here that are available and you are more than welcome to use one to your advantage. I think you will find them quite comfortable." Stalón's computer bleeps and he looks down to find a message from General McGrandel. He reads it quickly and turns back to Ortega. "This may be interesting for you to hear, Mr. Ortega. We are currently undergoing a search in Caribbean and our general, who is heading the operation, decided to bring up the pirate situation. Apparently, the Republic of Caribbean has been arming their merchants for protective measures - Caribbean merchants with guns. McGrandel concluded that this must be the source of the recent pirate spike, and I must agree with him."

"I will have him approach the Caribbeans about changing their means of protecting the merchants. We will offer support for the Republic of Caribbean to make this change, but may I ask that your nation also gives support? After all, it is your trade which is most affected, and I'm not sure how open their government will be to this idea unless we provide the means to do it. We have had significant interference there, recently, and it could be detrimental to our relation if we demand so much at once without any leeway."

"Yes I was about to mention this, it affects us both greatly.The GLAU had sent a message to the Republic regarding this, we've not gotten a response but we will certainly help stop this. We have already put military ships on patrol, escort groups of supply/trade ships, ships are to send out emergency signals when approached by unknown ships, they are also encouraged to hire guards or buy emergency weapons for protection. Although we will probably have to keep a good eye on how those weapons are used... The GLAU is taking every possible step it can to stop this. The crew members of the Rápida Limpiezawill not have died in vain."

"The embassy has been very accommodating and relaxing. I have received a message from President Ortiz, I'm sure you've met him before. Anyways the GLAU would like to have more help with situation in the Caribbean, Naval help would be most appreciated, mainly frigates or destroyers to help patrol and escort Merchant ships going to and from both of our nations. But it would also be helpful if you could aid us in finding their hideouts within the Caribbean so we can stop this problem at the source. The GLAU has tryed to contact both the republic of the Caribbean and the independent region 27. We hope to gain military access so we can operate within their borders and take out the pirates at their hideouts. Doing the same would help my friend, we're asking alot of you but the GLAU has taken the brunt of this fiasco, we wish to end it any means possible."

Perhaps there is another form of assistance we can offer to compensate for a lack of naval presence? We have already dealt with the Caribbean government; maybe we can help grant your navy access to their waters."

"Our navies are allowed to operate within their waters. The question is will the Republic allow our troops to step foot on their land with their own mission? I hope for my nation's sake they do, I also appreciate your help my friend."
