Oh, you're right. I was so caught up in the second part of the post that I forgot the nature of your post, other than that it was initiating diplomacy. I've edited my post to reflect this. Apologies for the confusion.

OB is long overdue to even start on his nation thread, and by all accounts has not been seen by any in weeks, even months. While Britain may well remain, I did not believe that an NPC would even be allowed in a player league, and did some creative writing to excuse OB's diplomat from the meeting while maintaining the continuity. If you would like, I can edit it to say whatever you'd like, so long as Britain is removed from the picture. Civil war and unconfirmed rumors of an assassination seemed appropriate, given the circumstances. If OB returns, the rumors were just so. If he does not, the civil war explains why Britain under your control might act differently than under OB's.

I don't mind your use of creative writing to try to find solutions to weird issues, but you should ask me about stuff that affects the game beforehand.
In all honesty, they probably (not definitely) will leave, but that doesn't mean you know that.

Pondering over the proposed borders, Gustav pensively replies to the German proposal.
"I find this proposal to be more than satisfactory, but what pray tell does our japanese friend have to say upon these borders?"

"For the time being, the borders agreement is quite acceptable, I believe."

"Good, good. I think we should all take some time to think on this agreement, before anything is settled. Let's reconvene three days hence to finalize this proposal."

"Farewell then friend, I'll see if I can actually make the meeting in person next time."
Gustav severs his connection to the meeting and goes about his business.

The Japanese diplomat and his entourage prepare to leave.
"I have to thank you for your hospitality Herr Rommel, and would request if I can set up an assembly here, in Berlin"

"Of course, of course."

Victoria is still waiting in a conference room...

As the Japanese diplomat leaves, a guard leads Victoria to Lord Rommel's office.

"Welcome. How may I be of assistance?"

"It seems that the rest of the world is spending an inordinate amount of talking to you, whereas we have only met over our opposition in the World Union." Victoria starts out, still standing "We wanted to change that, to set a better foundation for future relations. I believe the customary request is for guaranteed reciprocal freedom of movement for documented citizen and trade stuffs and a declaration to forgo preemptive military engagements. Beyond that, we would request permission to establish an embassy, and offer the same to you."

"This is agreeable," Lord Rommel nods.

With that, closing formalities are had, and Victoria takes her leave. She procedes to return to Michigami, while a mid-level Usonian Diplomat works out an embassy arrangement with the Germans.

A plane carrying a representative of the The Glorious People's Republic of The Bering Strait is requesting permission to land, and a meeting with your minister of foreign affairs.

A well dressed man and several scientists approach the front doors to the Reichstag.

The Bering Strait's plane is given permission to land in Berlin Hauptflughafen and an escort is provided to deliver the representative to the Reichstag, where they are led into Lord Rommel's office.


The representatives from Gibraltaria are led into the Reichstag and escorted to see the foreign affairs officer, Gustav.

"How can I be of assistance?" Gustav asks.

The diplomat takes a seat.
"I am Justin Serlan, and have been assigned as the official diplomat to your great nation. I am here to speak with you about the possibilities of trade agreements and, if you so choose, closer alliances. I believe that with my nation's Scientific might and your nation's disciplined soldier's, we could be of very good use to each other."

"I see no reason not to allow trade with your nation, and am authorized to agree to a non-aggression pact. However, Germany's neutrality has already been called into question, of late, and we cannot agree to anything beyond that. Are those terms agreeable?

"Those terms are most certainly agreeable. I understand and respect your desire for neutrality. I look forward to working with you again some time."

Justin gives Gustav his card and departs the room.

"Herr Rommel, our humble nation would like to discuss the formation of a trade agreement with your great nation."

"Then discuss away, sir," Lord Rommel says, nodding for the diplomat to continue.
