The Usonian State Dept. Contacts the GLAU Embassy. In light of the recent Usonian trade blitz, the official communique acknowledges and praises GLAU pro-action on this matter.

Piracy on rise in the Caribbean begins to interfere with trade.

Bolivia, Eagleland, and Sahara Confederacy no longer send trading vessels into dangerous waters. (no effect from trade routes with these countries, so -1 econ)

Kola and France are unable to continue trade with GLAU, due to sustained losses in shipping.

I'm afraid to say that, with the recent piracy it is unsafe for our trading vessels to enter your waters.  With that being said, we are ending our trading agreement.
