League of Polar Nations (LPN)

The LPN has been formed! If you are near the north or south pole, you are welcome to join.

Lets be clear this is a diplomatic and trade agreement. All involved parties have agreed not to involve any military in our alliance? agreed?

No, no, no. Why did you say that? It was clear when you JOINED the LPN that there was a trade agreement.

Due to the immaturity of the LPN's Members the NIC is declaring That free trade does exist between all member nations. Any challenges to this result in explusion from the League, No exceptions.

I accidentally put quotes around that sentence, sorry. Isn't the point of the League to be in mutual trade?

Seems like this is all just a misunderstanding.

The URS proposes a list of rules for the LPN:

Law 1: All nations will initiate free trade with each other, and all nations will assist one another in times of economic crisis.
Law 2: All nations will protect one another's military forces in times of war.
Law 3: War will occur only if a unanimous or nearly unanimous vote of all LPN members.
Law 4: Scientific Projects can be suggested and voted on. If the vote is near unanimous, all members will be required to donate to the project a sum agreed upon previously.

Any suggestions?

For our nations to provide military aid to one another would be impossible. War is another matter that is dependent on the current country, The World Union is already restrictive enough when it comes to war that another restriction within the Polar league needs to be put in place."

"The URS means not that we not go to war. Just that we take the agreement to the next step, and protect each other should it come to war."
