The Court of Denmark is a very flashy, ornate room, where the King meets foreign ambassadors. What you would expect of most royalty. However, this is just for show, as the real talks are behind closed doors in a location unknown to the public.

In the distance, a four column of infantry - each six men wide and five men deep - can be seen marching towards Copenhagen, flanked by about fifteen transport trucks on either side, all filled with infantry. Eight jeep roll along in front, and in the back, six APCs and two tanks can be seen bringing up the rear. In the center of it all is a single APC bearing the flag of the German Empire and the insignia of the Erste Infanteriedivision. The front jeep bears a flag of truce. The unit halts at the city limits and the infantry not riding in trucks come to attention. A single soldier, carrying the flag of truce from the jeep, comes forward and stands ahead of the rest, then also comes to attention. The Germans appear to be waiting for a response from the government of Denmark.

A great alarm had risen through Copenhagen but was immediately silenced at the flag of truce flown by the Germany troops. A group of ten men drive out in a truck to meet them, eight of them armed with a another flying the flag of denmark, disembark and approach the waiting German troops warily. Calmly the unarmed man addresses the waiting German flag bearer.
"Greetings, men of Germany. I am Olaf, Head of Foreign Affairs. Welcome to our fine city of Copenhagen." Gesturing to the troops standing at attention, Olaf continues "Surely such a large amount of troops were not required for such a simple mission of diplomacy, but I digress, you may bring twenty men with you to meet King Ragnvald. The rest may enter the city if they want, but must be unarmed. The APCs and tanks, I fear, will not be allowed inside the city limits. Surely you can understand that such devices of war rambling through the streets will distress the populace."

Wordlessly, the lone soldier returns to the column, approaching the APC in the center. Disappearing from site for a moment, he returns with several others from inside the APC.

The first man is tall and well built. Completely balled, he wears a pair of red shades, completely obscuring his eyes. His expression is unreadable. He is dressed in plain clothing and the hilt of a katana is visible over his shoulder.

The next man is dressed in the garb of a military officer. He is well kept, clearly career military. He is immediately by all present as Wolfgang Rommel, Oberfeldmarschall of all of Germany.

The third man is also dressed as an officer, though something about him is disarming. His appearance is well kept, but he radiates a charming intelligence.

"I apologize for what you must think is some show of force, Mr. Olaf," the third man says in perfect accentless Danish, "but Hank insisted that the Oberfeldmarschall not travel without at least two infantry divisions and a tank division. Thankfully, we reached a compromise. I hope you understand that the security of Lord Rommel is of the utmost priority. Myself, Hank, and four handpicked guards will be attending Lord Rommel to see King Ragnvald."

Taking this in stride, Olaf bows slightly to the visitors, and replies
"Well, looks like I addressed the wrong man. Anyways, if you will please follow me, I will take you to His Majesty. It would be comforting, though, if you continued from this point in something else than an APC. As you can understand, armed vehicles aren't exactly very appreciated by the citizenry."
Without waiting for a reply Olaf and his escort return to their truck and drive back towards the city, expecting the German ambassabors to follow.

The speaker and the man identified as Hank hold a whispered argument, and then approach one of the troop trucks. Ordering the ten troops within to disembark, the Oberfeldmarschall and his escort board the truck, which follows in the wake of the Danish truck.

The Danish truck finishes navigating the streets of Copenhagen, the Danes pull up in front of the Palace. Olaf orders the truck to drive back to the barracks and waits for the German ambassadors.

The troop truck pulls up just as the Danish truck leaves. Oberfeldmarschall Rommel and his escort quickly disembark and join Olaf in front of the palace.

Olaf notices the Germans approaching and gestures for them to follow.
"I've informed His Majesty of your arrival. He is expecting you, I'll lead you to the audience chamber."
With that Olaf proceeds to walk the stairs up to the entrance of the palace.

The Germans follow Olaf to the audience chamber. The four guards wait outside as the Oberfeldmarschall and his two comrades enter. They wait respectfully for the king to address them.

Olaf quickly moves to another side of the room, going through a non-descript door.
Sitting atop a seemingly golden throne is a slightly balding man of middle years. His green eyes study the men standing in front him, then in perfect, slightly accented german speaks.
"Welcome men of Germany to my noble hall! I am King Ragnvald. If there is anything you need, I'll be more than happy to oblige. Denmark is more than willing to aid mighty Germany. Now where was I? Oh yes, as I understand it you are here on some business. Would make sense, or else you wouldn't have come with such an escort. What is it that you would like to address?"

"I thank you for seeing us on such short notice. To get right to the point, we have assessed our current situation in respect to our neighbors, and, to be honest, Denmark's complete control of the immediate sea has been determined to threaten Germany's ability to field a navy or trade by sea. In years past, this alone would have been pretext for war, but I am a scholar of history, and I have learned from the mistakes of my predecessors. Thus, I propose an alliance. On land or in the skies, no one nation can match the ferocity of Germany, and on the seas, no one nation can match the might of Denmark. I propose that Denmark and Germany wave tariffs on trade between our two nations, and that we pledge military aid to each other in both defense and offense as deemed necessary. We would further propose the establishment of permanent of diplomatic embassies on each other's soil to further allow for easy growth of relations between our two nations. Is this agreeable, King Ragnvald?"

After the thoughtful pause, the King responds
"Why, dear friend, this sound like-" However, the king is suddenly interupted as a youthful looking man walks in through the same non-descript door Olaf left. One look into his blue eyes was enough to convince most men that this was a man of power and intelligence. The young man addresses the King.
"Pardon me, your Majesty, but there are matters of state that require your immediate consideration. I will be more than willing to entertain your guests while you are gone."
The King, suddenly realizing who this man was, replied
"Of course, of course. Always such Kingly matters to attend to. I'm afraid that I must be off. However, my advisor Gustav will be more than willing to entertain you while I am away."
With the king leaving, Gustav addresses the German Ambassadors
"Now, as I understand it, Germany seeks a military alliance with Denmark. In fact, I can't seem to think of much that is wrong with this proposal of yours. Your armies threaten my southern border, and my navy threatens your sea trade and northern border. Denmark will ally with Germany. Will you be staying in the city tonight? I can ensure you that you and your men will be well treated while in Copenhagen."

The startled king orders the immediate arrest of the armed soldiers who mysteriously appeared while he was doing such important things. The squad of assasins are overwhelmed by the number of guards. The King, now in a fury "If I weren't in a merciful mood, I would have your heads seperated from your bodies! Take them to be acquainted with their cells! I will deal with them soon enough!"
The foolish Scandinavian ambassador is also thrown in a prison cell with his bewildered escort.
The King continued to do what he was doing before.
Olaf happened to have heard the whole exchange, and pardons the diplomat.
"Your men will be free soon enough, but I'm afraid your reason for being here can't be dealt with until Gustav has time freed, as it is not my place to actually accept proposals from foreign ambassadors."
With that Olaf walks back towards the palace.

An aged Japanese male walks through the city, dressed in ceremonial garbs supporting himself with a wooden cane. He wanders through the city, walking in the general direction of the main government building. At the foot of the building the man stops and stares up the stairs. After taking in the sight, he begins his ascent at a leisurely pace. Moments later, he is at the doors, and requesting audience with the king. He identifies himself as a representative of the Imperial Japanese Empire.

"I'm afraid that my personal bodyguard, Hank, insists that I not stay outside of Berlin for very long. He objected quite a bit to this little trip. However, I will permit Otto to stay. He can oversee the establishment of an embassy here in Denmark, and then return him to me when you deem it fit. I thank you for your time." With this, Oberfeldmarschall Rommel and Hank exit with their four guards. Otto remains behind, awaiting instructions from Gustav.

"Well Otto, establish your embassy wherever you see fit. Somewhere in town or in the palace, it makes no difference."
A messenger urgently speaks to Gustav. With this news Gustav reaches for pen and paper and starts writing furiously.
"That confounded oaf! Maybe next time his "duties" won't be so close to where he can damage our relations with other nations any further. I'm sorry, but it appears I have to pardon some "Norweigian assasins"
With this Gustav stomps off in a fury to deal with other matters.

Olaf, upon realizing the danger that the old man is in, considering Ragnvald's current state of sanity, rushes to intercept the Japanese ambassador.
"I'm sorry, but the King is currently disposed. However, being one of his most trusted advisors, am willing to hear whatever proposal you plan to present is.
Elsewhere, the Norweigian Guards are pardoned with a letter also accepting the diplomat's offer for trade.

*A message arrives handwritten by King Charles, it reads: "Many greetings to you, most noble man of Denmark. I do not know to whom this message shall arrive. But I know that you represent the King of Denmark. I have written to you to thank you for your accepting of our alliance, and to agree to mutual embassies. My men in Copenhagen have begun building their embassy already. You can begin to build yours whenever you are ready. Thank you heartily for your co-operation. A guard approaches and takes the old man to the King's audience chamber. The King can be seen discussing something with his general as the old man is let in.
The King turns his attention away from his advisor and speaks to the ambassador.
"Welcome to my hall, as you probably know, I am Ragnvald, King of Denmark. What brings you here on this fine day, sir?"
